APEDB signs MoU with Dawson Solar and Semi Conductors Pvt. Ltd.
The Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board (APEDB) signed a MoU with Dawson Solar and Semi Conductors Pvt. Ltd. to set up a large-scale plant for the manufacturing of active cathode materials and cells for lithium-ion batteries. Dawson Solar and Semi Conductors is a technology and innovation-based company having state-of-the-art technologies in nano-technology and solid-state chemistry.
The plant will be the first commercial-scale project in India to produce active cathode material and lithium-ion cells with an active cathode material production capacity of 1,000 tons per year and a capacity to manufacture 5 million units of lithium-ion cells. The plant will cater to both domestic and export markets.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Mr. J. Krishna Kishore, CEO of APEDB; Mr. Amlat Ajay, Director of Dawson; Mr. Ajay Mukund, CEO of Dawson; and the APEDB team.
