An Israel Delegation led by First Secretary Political affairs Embassy of Israel, Ms.Adva Vilchinski, took part in a joint working group meeting held at the Chief Minister Camp office, Vijayawada.
Ms.Ditza Froim Minister, Mr.Dan Alluf, Counsellor, International Development Cooperation (Mashav) Science and Agriculture. Ms. Racheli Mulla, Deputy Defence Attache for HLS, Defence Cooperation – SIBAT, Ms.Veshala Gajaraj, Trade Officer, Consulate General of State of Israel were part of the delegation.
The Economic Development Board Facilitated the joint meeting From Andhra Pradesh Shri Aditya Nath Das, Spl Chief Secretary ( Higher and Secondary Education), Shri.B.Rajsekhar, Prl Secretary Agriculture, Shri Bhaskar Bushan, SP Counter Intelligence, Dr. M.Hari Jawaharlal, Spl Commissioner (Agriculture ) Shri V.R.V.R. Naik, Jt Director, Promotions IT & EC Dept, Dr.Venkatachalam, Director ITE& C , DR.M.Venkateshwarlu VC & MD INCAP, P.V.S. Ravi Kumar, DD Horticulture took part in the round table.
Shri J. Krishna Kishore CEO, AP Economic Development Board gave the welcome note and invited the team to AP and gave a presentation on the background and vision of the State, the opportunities available and the core sectors in which the Govt of AP and Govt of Israel could work. The various opportunities in Agriculture sector, Education Sector, Cyber and Homeland Security , Waste water management , Infrastructure, Smart Cities, etc in which the two could partner. Mr.Rajsekhar gave an account of the agriculture scene in the state and the Israel team offered to bring in their expertise in Agriculture and sustainable development , its policies strategies and support systems for rural revitalisation. Defence sector, Education Sector in which the Israelis would like to invite professional on scholarships to Israel was also discussed. They could enrich the participants with professional skills ,new approaches and opportunities in the field of Rural revitalization, Exchange of Knowledge in different fields were also discussed. MASHAV – Israel Agency for international Development Cooperation is dedicated to providing developing countries with the best of israel’s experience in development and planning.
Discussions were held in the Fields of Cyber Security , Inland and Home land security were discussed. Upgrading and designing of Educational institutions (Schools), Teacher Training, Skill Development, Universities Possible Partnership in Archaeology, Museumology.
The Delegation extended an invite to the Chief Minister to lead a delegation to visit Israel and to have another round table in November of this year.
