Delegation from Panko Co. Ltd., South Korea expresses interest in setting up an integrated knitting, dyeing, processing and garmenting unit in AP
The delegation led by Mr. Kim from Panko Co., Ltd., a South Korean based conglomerate met with Mr. Krishna Kishore, CEO, APEDB on 14th June, 2019 and expressed their interest in setting up an integrated knitting, dyeing, processing and garmenting unit in the state of Andhra Pradesh. The proposed unit would employ 4000 workers directly and another 3000 workers indirectly. The Textiles team, APEDB presented the opportunities available in the sector along with the benefits of the current industrial and textile & apparel ecosystem in the state. Mr. Kim and his team were highly impressed with the presentation and facilitation done by the APEDB team with the relevant stakeholders. They had commended the team on its ability to truly act as a single point of contact and had requested APEDB to guide them for their proposed new unit in Andhra Pradesh. The CEO, APEDB felicitated the Panko team at the end of the meeting and ensured speedy processing of approvals and allotments for their proposed new unit.
