Canadian delegation visits Amaravati
Canadian Consul General Jennifer Daubeny led a delegation consisting of representatives of 15 companies, who specialize in solar, and wind power, water treatment, effluent treatment, smart city management, IoT and various other sectors to meet Hon’ble Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Shri N Chandrababu Naidu.
Giving a brief about Andhra Pradesh , the Hon’ble Chief Minister said he is focusing more on energy and power storage capacity. He said that solar power plant with a capacity of 1000 MW is coming up in Kurnool and in two years, the government plans to add additional 4600 MW solar and wind power.
The Consul General praised the Chief Minister for making Andhra Pradesh a laboratory of leading practices and now our task is to figure out how Canada fits into your plan, she said.
The Chief Minister directed Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board (APEDB) CEO, Mr. J. Krishna Kishore to work closely with the Canadian government to bring best practices home and study further areas of collaboration.
Stanely C Gomas, Consul and senior Trade commissioner, Ravikanth Tiwari, Trade commissioner,Ontario were part of the Canadian delegation.
