The Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board (APEDB) initiated a strategic collaboration with Andhra Pradesh Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) and Amazon India to build capacities of MSMEs for strong market linkages in Andhra Pradesh, 5th Sept 2019, Vijayawada
The Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board (APEDB) initiated a strategic collaboration with Andhra Pradesh Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) and Amazon India to build capacities of MSMEs for strong market linkages in Andhra Pradesh.
The APEDB has been exploring strategic collaborations with Amazon India, in the area of integrated logistics, developing market linkages, establishing the infrastructure of distribution centers and fulfillment centers, that bring down the cost of doing business and connecting SMEs to a wider network of customers.
Amazon India through its Kalahaat and One District One Product (ODOP) initiative aims at strengthening capacities of MSMEs and enable access to the market. Prione (a Joint Venture of Amazon India and Cataraman Ventures) has enabled 2400+ weavers/artisans, through 100+ workshops in 95 clusters across 20 States and UTs.
Amazon India in collaboration with APSSDC and APEDB have organized a workshop on 5th September 2019 to build capacities of the APSSDC district teams who in turn will work with MSME Sellers and enable global market access for them. The Assistant District Skill Development Officers (ADSDOs) and Enterprise Development Program (EDP) coordinators will be the nodal officers at the district level to bring together 10 best sellers of various product lines/ local crafts popular in the district. The workshop had participation from State Engagement Officer, National Skill Development Corporation.
A detailed action plan will be chalked out for implementation by APEDB & APSSDC in consultation with district teams and Amazon India to make this initiative impactful.
