APEDB held discussion with delegation from Finland on the sidelines of Tech 2018

Mr. S.P Tucker, Executive Vice Chairman, APEDB has led the discussion with Mr. Adityanath Das, Special Chief Secretary, Department of Higher Education and delegation from Finland, led by Mr. Peter Vesterbacka on the sidelines of Tech 2018 Conference in Visakhapatnam. The delegation was represented by Findia Development, Vaasa University, Satakunta University of Applied Sciences (SAMK), Helsinki School of Business, Head AI, Hatch Entertainment, Edunation, and Hame University of Applied Sciences (HAMK). Key points discussed included progress on the propositions around AI & Robotics University, Center of Excellence on Happiness, Gaming Hub in Amaravati, Summer Schools, and Center of Excellence(s) on emerging technologies.

Previously during June-August 2018, the delegation participated in Happy Cities Summit in Amaravati, under the guidance of Hon’ble Chief Minister and strategic guidance by Mr. S.P.Tucker in collaboration with Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) and have initiated 'India Game Development Challenge (IGDC) 2018' in SRM University in Amaravati. This program has inducted training to about 500 students in a 12-week residential training by Finnish faculty in Advanced Gaming Development and produced 48 games, of which 16 games are onboard on Google Play Store. The Finalists of the IGDC 2018 Challenge will be participating in Slush Helsinki in December 2018.
