Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, is a rare politician who combines an ability to unveil grand vision for the development of the society with pragmatism. An extremely detail oriented person, Mr. Naidu pursues his innovation strategies with great vigour and determination.
During 1995-2004, Mr. Naidu played an instrumental role in reforming the Information Technology sector in the combined state and making Hyderabad one of the biggest Information Technology hubs in India. His vision, approach and governance earned him great praises from leaders and media worldwide, including ‘the IT Indian of the Millennium’ by India Today and 20:20 Media in 2000.
With the formation of the Telangana state in 2014, Mr. Naidu became the first chief minister of the new state of Andhra Pradesh. As the Chief Minister of the new state, Mr. Naidu’s vision includes making Andhra Pradesh a developed state by 2029 and the best investment destination for the world by 2050. Under his leadership, the new state has already achieved a double-digit growth during 2015-16.
